The Ned Pinot Noir
Country/Region of Origin: New Zealand

Region: New Zealand, Marlborough

Grape variety: Pinot Noir

Background: Renowned winemaker Brent Marris has crafted a complex yet harmonious Pinot Noir from the Waihopai River, which comprises three distinct variations in soil structure. Hand-picked and aged for 12 months in French oak, this is a classic, rounded Marlborough Pinot. He's a rugged southerner, very tall and lives in the heart of wine country. Do we have your attention ladies? We're talking about The Ned - the 909m high peak that overlooks part of our biggest wine growing region of course.  In fact winemaker Brent Marris (formerly of Wither Hills and Oyster Bay) spent his youth hiking and biking in the area, thus his affection for the big fella.

Tasting notes: A delicious medium bodied style Marlborough Pinot, loaded with dark, spicy berry fruit flavours.
