Algazara Syrah
Country/Region of Origin: Spain

Region: Spain, Ronda Valley

Grape variety: Syrah

Aging: 12 months in French oak

Background: From the Ronda Valley near Malaga. An extremely limited production of only 2,500 bottles means this wine is one to hold onto. However, it has spent 12 months in French barrels and then a couple more years in bottle, so is more than ready to drink right away. Algazara means “noise, din or rabble”, but in the happy sense, like the bustle of friends getting together!

Tasting notes: Deep in the glass, red nearly black cherry with pomegranate inflections. Further dark red fruits are found on the nose, accompanied with a crack of black pepper and spices. It is lifted by a touch of violet to finish. Smooth and elegant which retains its freshness. Acidity and tannin entwine and complement each other through its long finish.
