Artelium Curators Cuvee Sparkling 2016
Country/Region of Origin: United Kingdom

Region: England, Hampshire

Grape variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier

Background: The wine was produced by celebrated winemaker Dermot Sugrue.

Winemaking process: Pressed to extract only the finest portion of juice. Vinified entirely in stainless steel tanks. The Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier were fermented and aged separately, with malolactic fermentation carried out only partially to retain structure and give extra ability for extended lees ageing.

Tasting notes: A super concentrated nose. Opulent, polished aromas of lemon peel, pink lady apple and fresh pastry. The palate is bright and intense; a wicked line of clean acidity keeps it brisk, the well-ripe fruit hangs off it keenly. Crisp pear, subtle tropical fruit notes. Long, tense toasted-brioche finish.

Country: United Kingdom

Region: England, Hampshire

Grape variety: Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Meunier

Food pairings: Pairs beautifully with shellfish, seafood of all kinds and fresh, clean vegetable dishes. It is an opulent, fun counterbalance to crunchy, fried dishes like Panko-crumbed chicken or filo pastry bites.
