Pierre Lamotte Merlot 2023

Grape Variety: Merlot
Background: “Vins de France” can be produced throughout the whole of France using grapes harvested exclusively within its borders. This quite new appellation (2009) allows for a greater liberty in winemaking compared to the appellation system. It is a great opportunity for our winemaker to express his skills with a wine with a steady style and unique personality.
Winemaking Process: The grapes are machine harvested and the bunches are de-stemmed before undergoing a period of cold maceration to increase extract of colour. The alcoholic fermentation lasts 8-10 days at controlled temperatures, with a daily pumping over of the juice. The malolactic fermentation follows and the wine is kept in tanks for 4-6 months before bottling.
Tasting Notes: Ruby red with beautiful intensity. Aromas of green pepper and blackcurrant with a hint of dark chocolate. Elegant and supple wine with lovely, concentrated flavours. The tannins are well-integrated and pleasant.
Food Pairing: Enjoy with grilled poultry or poultry in sauce, red meat with Mediterranean vegetables, or a roasted leg of lamb.

Pierre Lamotte Chardonnay

Background: “Vins de France” can be produced throughout the whole of France using grapes harvested exclusively within its borders. This quite new appellation (2009) allows for a greater liberty in winemaking compared to the appellation system. It is a great opportunity for our winemaker to express his skills with a wine with a steady style and unique personality.
Winemaking Process: The grapes were harvested during the cool hours of the night to keep the typical freshness of Chardonnay. Each plot was vinified separately so that we respect their true nature, and get a finer and purer wine. After the fermentation process, the wine is aged for 4 months on fine lees, in stainless steel tanks to keep the fruit and freshness of the grape.
Tasting Notes: Classic French Chardonnay with attractive citrus and "creamy" notes. Bright straw-coloured. Generous and seductive nose with notes of nectarine and acacia. Exotic fruits are also found on the elegant and well-rounded palate.
Food Pairing: It should be an elegant companion to mixed salads, grilled meats, fish and shellfish.

Background: The regional "Pays d'Oc“ appellation includes red, rosé and white wines produced mainly in the Aude, Hérault, Gard and Pyrénées Orientales departments of south-western France. Our Pays d’Oc Pinot Noir hails from the part of the Languedoc region where thesoil is predominantly limestone based.
Tasting Notes: A really decent example of Pinot Noir at this price point. Another bottle please! Cherry red in colour. Aromas of cherry and coffee with subtly integrated toasted notes. Lovely fullness. Appealing, silky tannins. Delectable and fruity with toasted notes and lovely power. Flavours of chocolate underscored by a hint of menthol. Long finish with assorted fruit flavours and a subtle touch of oak.
Food Pairing: The perfect match for all meats, barbecues, pizzas and assorted vegetables.

Grape variety: Sauvignon Blanc
Background: “Vins de France” can be produced throughout the whole of France using grapes harvested exclusively within its borders. This quite new appellation (2009) allows for a greater liberty in winemaking compared to the appellation system. It is a great opportunity for our winemaker to express his skills with a wine with a steady style and unique personality.
Winemaking process: Fermentation takes place at low temperatures in order to preserve all of the grapes’ aromas and flavours. The wine is then aged for a few months on finelees.
Tasting notes: Golden, pale straw yellow in colour. Very fine and mineral with notes of fresh fruit. Well balanced, with a strong acidity that is nevertheless sustained by good maturity. The aromas are typical (blackcurrant blossom, litchi). This wine has the characteristics of a typical Sauvignon Blanc with a lot of finesse and purity.
Food pairing: As an aperitif, with seafood, a tuna carpaccio, smoked salmon, sushi or Japanese fish dishes, but also goat cheeses or asparagus in sauce.

Antonin Rodet Macon Villages Blanc
Region: France, Burgundy, Mâcon-Villages appellation
Background: In the Southern part of Burgundy, a regional appellation grown in 43 communes falling within the Mâcon-Villages appellation, which extends over 3 050 hectares.
Grape Variety: 100% Chardonnay
Vinification and Maturing: Vinification in low-temperature stainless steel tanks in order to preserve the freshness and tension of the grape variety. Followed by a 6 months ageing, for one part in stainless steel tank and the other part in oak barrels.
Tasting Notes: Pale gold with green hues. At the nose white flowers and white fruits aromas with pleasant notes of fresh almonds. A supple and charming wine in the mouth with flavours of white peach, lemon and a beautiful minerality.
Food Pairing: Will be perfect served as an "apéritif" wine with salty finger foods such as chips, crackers, peanuts and olives. Enjoy also with poultry or veal in cream sauce, creamy risotto with meat and all fish.
Ageing Potential: Already delicious, this wine can age 3 to 5 years in good storage conditions.
Serving Temperature: Serve chilled between 10°C and 12°C. (50-54°F.)
