Background: The Fifth Wave is Langmeil’s most treasured Old Vine Garden Grenache and is dedicated to the fifth generation of the Lindner family. Planted in the middle of last century, The Fifth Wave is our ‘call to arms’ to preserve, promote and protect the best of the Barossa. The Lindner family of Langmeil Winery has been immersed in the Barossa’s culture of farming, food, wine and community for six generations. Their commitment to quality in all aspects is unwavering and any wine that bears the Langmeil name represents the family’s pursuit of excellence in wine and community.

Tasting Notes: This generous, full-bodied Grenache demonstrates the full potential of the variety in the Barossa, with rich red cherry, milk chocolate and white pepper flavours, a lusciously proportioned yet superbly detailed palate, and a vibrantly mineral finish. Light to medium depth crimson. Dark cherry and raspberry fruits mingle with sweet and white pepper spice and hints of vanilla add to the complexity. Ripe, red berry and dark cherry flows ontot he palate, melding into lovely sweet and briary spice. The finish lingers on a fruitful and spicy note with typical chalky yet fine tannins.

Food Pairing: Slow cooked lamb shanks, crispy skin salmon, roast pork or duck, dark chocolate.

Background: Started by the late Doug Collet in 1973, Woodstock in McLaren Vale has always had an eye on the future. As well as red, white and rose wines, Woodstock has a ken focus on fortified wines too. When his son and current owner, Scott took over in 1982, the tradition has continued with fine wine making from the old vines on the property. Ben Glaetzer is now the chief winemaker with Scott managing vines – a winning team as shown by the Heartland range.

Tasting Notes: Intense varietal red fruit notes include cherry and raspberry. The palate is broad and rich, allowing it to be more readily drunk in its youth.

Food Pairing: Enjoy with a selection of Spanish tapas or a nice smoked duck on the BBQ.

Tasting Notes: Clear deep dark purple colour. Pure and very intense aromas reminiscent of red berry fruit such as cranberries, red cherries and raspberries combined with mineral notes of flint and hints of eucalyptus. The palate is dry, full bodied with rich concentrated juicy fruit, firm but ripe tannins and a refreshing acidity making this a great food wine.

Food Pairing: This wine would pair well with barbacued dishes, red meat and cured meats.

Winemaking Process: ‘Les Traverses’ are the dry stone walls which were built to support and protect the slopes in Ventoux from the significant erosion caused by the strong Mistral winds. 40+ year old vines on average From the foothills of the Mont Ventoux – clay and limestone soils with south/southwest exposure 80% Grenache, 20% Syrah Aged in 20% large older barrel and 80% in stainless tanks.

Tasting Notes: Blood orange, raspberry, fresh pepper and wild herbs emerge from this delicious Ventoux Rouge. Incredibly sappy and persistent with laser focus and precision. When they are well-made by a gifted winemaker, reds from Ventoux are usually excellent value. This one really is, boasting fresh aromas of red fruit, spices and cedar. Palate is fruity and lively with fine tannins in the background. Nothing over complicated, this bottle is a great pick for your everyday drink!

Food Pairing: This Grenache pairs well with lamb shank with mushrooms, roast duck with apples and beef tataki.

Winemaking Process: Gentle pneumatic pressing. Cold settling. Alcoholic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats at a low temperature (16°-18°C). 6 months ageing on the fine lees in concrete tanks.

Tasting Notes: Pale yellow hue with green tints. Aromas of exotic fruits, white flowers and citrus. Very complex encompassing notes of peach and apricot. This cuvee has a very good length and good freshness.

Food Pairing: A must pair with grilled fish and white meats in a warm atmosphere.

Tasting Notes: An intense dark-ruby colour. The nose develop aromas of ripe black fruit (such as blackberry) cherry and spice box. Thr palate reveals the presence of tannins, in high quanitity and elegant. The finish is long and luxurious. This is the Chateauneuf du Pape expression, displaying all the characteristics of the terroir.

Tasting Notes: The colour is purple-tinged garnet. The aromatic range of the nose goes from fresh berries (wild raspberry, blackcurrant and blackberry) to spices. The palate is big and full-flavoured, with silky smooth tannins and aromas of the fruit already mentioned. The finish introduces touches of licorice and pepper. A Cotes du Rhone with great complexity for an everyday drinking.

Tasting Notes: Salmon pink colour, clear and brilliant. The nose is fruity and spicy, reminiscent of wild strawberry and fine Provencal spices. The palate is full, well balanced and fruity with a long fresh finish. A beautiful and delicate rose which is a great example from the Rhone.

Food Pairing: It is often recommended as an aperitif, with charcuterie, tapas or picnic fare. Its fruitiness and acidity also make it suitable for grilled vegetables, salads with crusty dressings or even some light pasta dishes.
